(Ferry across the staight of magellen)
I arrived in El Calafate on Monday the 6th at 2am after traveling for 19 hours on a buss. It really was not all that bad. We did have to get off the buss 5 different times as we rode up through the Chillaen borders. about every hour we would stop at some sort of cafe where we could get some thing verry quick to eat mostly some thing to go because each break was 10 minutes. The buss was verry nice and reclined so I slept for at least half of the ride.
About 7 hours into the ride we pulled up to the Straight Of Magellan and a few minutes later a ferry arrived and our buss pulled up on it and we crossed into Chille which was verry cool.
When we got into El Calafate we got a ride to our hostle which was verry small and cramped but wasnt all that bad or great but definately could be beter. We checked out at 10am the same morning and went to a much better hostle which was verry pointless considering a few hours later Nicole had her mom book us a verry nice hotel for her birthday present which was still verry cheap in US dollars. The hotel is amazing it has jacoozie tubs in each of our rooms. We each have our own room and dont have to deal with every one its verry nice. This will be out 2nd and last night here. We have not really done anything in El Calafate yet except sleep in and relax in our lovely hotlel and I have had a chance to get cought up and complete alot of my school work.
Tomorrow were going to the national park to camp and check out the Glacer
I will post more pictures of the Straight of magellen and other random pictures in a few days when I post next. Thats the next time I will be able to post assuming I wont have internet acess!
